Temporary suspension of flight schedule
Ellinair today (Tues 17 Mar) announces the temporary suspension of its flight schedule in sections, following the events of the Covid-19 outbreak which are continuous and mandatory.
The travel restrictions and medical safety advise requiring people to stay at home has necessitated the below cancellations:
1. From 24:00hrs Tuesday 31 Mar until 24:00hrs Thursday 30 Apr, Ellinair will suspend all domestic flights.
2. From 24:00hrs Monday 16 Mar until 24:00hrs Thursday 30 Apr, Ellinair will suspend all international scheduled flights. Charters are not affected if allowed by regulation or law.
3. Additional cuts:
• 20/03/2020, route: SKG- ATH- SKG | Flights 100, 101 (morning flights) are cancelled. Afternoon flights on 20/03/2020 (102, 103) will operate.
• 21/03/2020, route: SKG- ATH- SKG | Flights 100, 101, 102, 103 (all flights) are cancelled.
• 23/03/2020, route: SKG- ATH- SKG | Flights 100, 101, 102, 103 (all flights) are cancelled.
• 24/03/2020, route: SKG- ATH- SKG | Flights 102, 103 (afternoon flights) are cancelled.
• 25/03/2020, route: SKG- ATH- SKG | Flights 102, 103 (afternoon flights) are cancelled.
• 26/03/2020, route: SKG- ATH- SKG | Flights 102, 103 (afternoon flights) are cancelled.
• 27/03/2020, route: SKG- ATH- SKG | Flights 102, 103 (afternoon flights) are cancelled.
• 28/03/2020, route: SKG- ATH- SKG | Flights 102, 103 (afternoon flights) are cancelled.
• 29/03/2020, route: SKG- ATH- SKG | Flights 102, 103 (afternoon flights) are cancelled.
• 30/03/2020, route: SKG- ATH- SKG | Flights 100, 101 (morning flights) are cancelled.
Ellinair ’s aim is to contact all passengers where contact information is available by e mail or phone or (via) relevant travel agent. Affected passengers will receive email notices today informing them of these flight cancellations as per their bookings. Affected passengers will be able to choose a change of travel date until 24/10/2020 (provided the new date will be stated). If the ticket has been booked by a travel agent, Ellinair asks its passenger to, please, contact their travel agent directly.
Ellinair continues to comply fully with WHO and national Government guidance and travel bans. The situation is changing on a daily basis, and all passengers on flights affected by travel bans or cancellations, are receiving emails.
